As we all take a moment to remember our veterans today, Dawn and I reflect on the memory of our fathers. Both served in the armed forces during World War II, protecting our country and its ideals.

On this Memorial Day we recognize those service members who are no longer with us -- from those first American patriots to the men and women who recently lost their lives in Afghanistan.

Please join me today in remembering America's soldiers who have served to keep America free. We salute you.
