Educating the Future of Hawai‘i

January 26, 2018

Placing education as a top priority is the first step to ensure a prosperous and rewarding future for the people of Hawai‘i. Governor Ige and his administration launched several initiatives and secured funding to develop an educational program to build a thriving economy.

When he was first elected, the administration immediately went to work to provide air conditioners in classrooms in the warmest regions of Hawai‘i where temperatures soared, putting not only the students at risk, but their education as well.

Additionally, Governor Ige effectively eliminated barriers to higher education with “Hawai‘i’s Promise,” a financial assistance program for low-income community college students to help pay for tuition, books and transportation.

As a product of Hawai‘i’s public schools, Governor Ige knows creating pathways for success safeguards the future of Hawai‘i and can provide limitless opportunities.  By being an effective, compassionate, and selfless leader, he has improved Hawai‘is educational programs more than previous administrations and will continue to do so with your support.
