Capitol Artist Program 2010

The Capitol Artists Program sponsored by Senator Ige has been show casing artwork by students in Aiea and Pearl City since 1986. Currently on display in the chamber level of the Capitol are artwork pieces done in several different types of medium provided by the students of Highlands Intermediate School.

Capitol Artist Program 2010

The Capitol Artists Program sponsored by Senator Ige has been show casing artwork by students in Aiea and Pearl City since 1986. Now on display on the Chamber level of the State Capitol are works from the Aiea Intermediate School Graphics program led by teacher Arne Applegate. Twenty-six students designed their own TIME Magazine cover which included a photo of themselves on it.

This year, we've been able to feature the creativity of students from Aiea Elementary, Intermediate, and High Schools as well as from Highlands Intermediate. They are on display in the hallway on the Senate side of the Chamber level and in Room 215.

Capitol Artist Program

The Capitol Artist Program has been a huge success this legislative session, with the artwork of over 100 students displayed at the Hawaii State Capitol. Currently the artwork of students from Highlands Intermediate and Aiea Intermediate are on display in the chamber level of the Hawaii State Capitol. All are welcomed to come down and view the magnificent artwork on display and support the artwork of our youth.
