Senate Honors Little League Champs!
Senator Ige and Nishihara honored the Pearl City Junior Little League Team for capturing the Junior League World Series Champions last summer. Last August, the Hawaii district 7 Little League Junior League Team from Pearl City represented the United States at the 27th Junior League World Series Little League Baseball Championships in Taylor Michigan. The team from Pearl City beat the team from Laredo Texas, and became the United States Champions, earning a spot in the Junior League World Series. Pearl City then went on to beat the team from the Philippines, the International Champions, and was crowned the Junior League World Series Champions. Below, Senator Ige and Nishihara pose for a picture with Team Manger Mitch Yamato, and team representatives Kahana Neal, Chace Numata, and Isaac Shim.
